“There is no such thing as a single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives.”
— Audre Lorde
The noise of life is too much sometimes. The weight of merely existing can feel so overwhelming. Maybe you’re here because the world often demands more than you have the strength to give. If that’s the case and if that’s why you’re here, know that you don’t have to navigate this alone.
If you are wanting to further explore your relationship with yourself, or heal from your traumatic experiences, you’re in the right place. Folks tend to seek me out for help with Complex PTSD or Relational Trauma, Anxiety, Self-Esteem issues, Relationships, Family issues, and more. Whatever it may be, your story matters here.
Let’s unearth your story together.
Hey there! I’m Courtney (she/her).
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas. Unearthed is a small, Latina-owned practice that was created to be space for you to heal from painful relationship experiences, learn about the patterns that affect you today, and to build a deeper connection to yourself so that you can thrive in all aspects of your life!
To me, part of being trauma-informed means understanding the nuances to your lived experiences. It means understanding the intersectionality of your identity and how your body responds to trauma.
On this journey, I commit myself to fostering an inclusive & safe space that honors your unique identities, and brings your humanity back into the room.
You may not get to choose the pain that you inherit, but you can make the decision to heal from it.

FAQs
-
I am deeply relational and human by nature! During our time together, my hope is to create a safe, long term relationship where we can both be witnesses and collaborators in your story.
People are messy and multifaceted and this is space where those things can be celebrated instead of shamed. If you are only looking to "stop" or repress parts of yourself behaviorally that you deem problematic, I may not be the therapist for you.
We might begin with exploring healthy boundaries, learning ways to communicate, and working towards forming relationships where you can express and be yourself.
I primarily approach therapy through a systems lens, relational-cultural therapy, and draw some influence from body-based approaches like somatic experiencing.
